Visit to Évora
Thursday September 6, 9 h Visit to Fátima
You will drive across the world’s largest cork region for an exciting
journey into the past. In Évora, capital of the province of Alentejo,
you will visit the ruins of the Roman Temple, the Romanesque Gothic
Cathedral, the Bones Chapel and the University. A walk along
the streets will help you to enjoy this World Heritage town. Lunch is included.
Driving back to Lisboa you will go through Setúbal, a famous fishing
centre.

You will drive northwards and arrive at the beautiful walled town of Óbidos
with the picturesque streets and the “Pousada do Castelo”. Then you will
drive to Alcobaça to visit its 12th Century Abbey.
Lunch in Nazaré, the most colourful of the Portuguese fishing villages,
will be followed by the visit to the Mosteiro da Batalha. Finally, you
will arrive in Fátima, an important centre of the Christian faith.
