Symposium delegates and accompanying persons are invited to select and
book one of the three alternative tours described below. All tours end with a
Social Dinner at the Estalagem Muchaxo (http://welcome.to/muchaxo),
which is included in the price of the excursion.
A half-day to discover Lisboa (http://www.atl-turismolisboa.pt). A drive along the Riverside to admire Mosteiro
dos Jerónimos, with stops at Torre de Belém and at the Monumento
das Descobertas is followed by the visit to the Oceanarium, built in
1998 (http://www.oceanario.pt)

Finally the bus will drive you to the Estalagem Muchaxo, where a traditional
dinner will be served.

An unforgettable afternoon will take you to discover the “Sunny coast”
and its beautiful beaches: Estoril, the colourful bay of Cascais, and
the picturesque cliff of Boca do Inferno, Guincho and Cabo da
Roca – the most western point of Continental Europe. The visit to the
sumptuous 18th century Queluz Palace is followed by a drive
across the Sintra Mountain. The bus will bring you to the Estalagem
Muchaxo, where a traditional dinner will be served.

Crossing the steel structure bridge over the Tejo, you will have
a superb view of Lisboa. Next you will visit the old Castelo de Sesimbra,
where you can admire the beautiful scenery of Sesimbra fishing town. In Azeitão
you will have the opportunity to taste the local wines in a famous wine cellar.
After driving to the Arrábida mountain – a unique nature reserve giving an
outstanding view over Setúbal and Tróia, you will return to Lisboa by the Vasco da
Gama bridge. The bus will drive you to the Estalagem Muchaxo, where a traditional
dinner will be served.

This Symposium dinner, which is included in the registration fee, will take place at the Casino Estoril (http://www.casino-estoril.pt). A Port of Honour will be served, followed by dinner with entertainment and ball.
